The Montana Hotel was the realization of a dream – the dream of Giuseppe Mottes (Beppi for those who knows him). After 30 years as a ski instructor on Monte Bondone, Giuseppe decided in 1975 to move to his native village Fai della Paganella, where he was director of the ski school and continued his career as a teacher, always maintaining the desire to transfer to others his passion for the mountains.

Thanks to the support of his wife Rita Tabarelli De Fatis and his daughters and son Antonella, Rodolfo and Michela, in the eighties he began to realize his vision of creating the basis for what later in November 1988 was to become the Montana Hotel. Firstly born as a sport shop and as an office location for the ski school, the building was later developed into a delightful hotel consisting of fifteen rooms, and various apartments.

In the nineties, the management was transferred to his son Rodolfo who still carries forward his father’s dream, trying to offer to the guests the passion for the nature, the love for skiing and the attachment to the land and the local products.
